Andrea S. Lee
Andrea S. Lee is a Grenada, MS native and is the President and Founder of The Diamond Project, Inc. She attended undergraduate school at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She earned her Master of Business Administration from The University of Maryland University College. Andrea worked for the United States House of Representatives as the Chief of Staff for the second congressional district of Mississippi and as the Director of Operations for the House Committee on Homeland Security.
Andrea is the owner of Talented Touches by Andrea, where she does event planning/design, cake decorating, fruit displays, gift wrapping, stationary/invitations, and customized gift baskets. To advance her skills, she trained under celebrity event producers, Lance Devereux and Tori Williams. With over 20 years of event planning experience, Talented Touches by Andrea has provided services for numerous clients, including The Recording Academy (Grammys) and Bravo TV’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Through her position on Capitol Hill, she has been able to gain invaluable experiences, such as serving as a volunteer at the 57th Presidential Inauguration of President Barack Obama and working on the event teams at the 2012 National Democratic Convention and the 2016 Democratic Presidential Debate. She served as the lead coordinator for The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Gospel Extravaganza held during their Annual Legislative Conference. She also worked as the event manager for the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, where she coordinated and managed events for Members of Congress. In 2023, she was the event planner for The Celebration of Black Women in Leadership hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris.
Andrea realized her passion for service in 2012 after starting an annual holiday tradition of adopting families and/or nursing homes in her hometown of Grenada along with the women in her family, The LoveLee Ladies. In 2014, she became the co-coordinator of a group of female volunteers on Capitol Hill who plan, prepare, and serve monthly dinner at a local women’s shelter in Washington, DC. Andrea is a firm believer that “God blesses us so that we can bless others.” Therefore, she uses her leadership skills and creative abilities to give back to the community.
In 2021, Andrea created a beauty brand, Showoff Cosmetics, that landed a billboard in NYC Times Square two months after its launch. In 2022, she was recognized by Who’s Who of Mississippi Women for her contributions to the Magnolia State. In 2023, she was honored with a Congressional Record in the United States Congress. Andrea is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Aside from event planning, Andrea enjoys bowling, traveling, swimming, interior decorating, and any activities that allowed her to be creative.
